Since I started scrapbooking for my son, I have really enjoyed it. I am quite traditional in my thinking, in that I struggle to put flowers and pretty things on a boy's page. -Just not ready for that yet. Hopefully as I mature as a scrapbooker I will feel more comfortable with it.
Anyone who knows me, as a person, or my cardmaking style, will know that I am a real BLING girl. I love rhinestones and sparkle and lace and flowers on my cards. I'm missing that in scrapping for my boys, so I decided to do a few pages about me where I can embellish to my heart's content with whatever takes my fancy.
Here's one of my first pages( I plan to do "52 pieces of me")

this is really lovely...i can't put pretty things on my boys pages either...lol...
This came out great! I don't put flowers and such on my son's pages either and I've been scrapping for nine years....just don't think that is going to come for me! :> But, I do love that you are making an album or pages for yourself! Actually, I'm sure its something your boys will like to have years from now. I really like the handwritten journaling. I use the computer for journaling here and there, but really like to write my journaling out and love seeing others' hand writing as well! :>
This is so fabulous Looby - I just love it!!
This is an awesome page, Sarah! I haven't been scrapbooking much, and I miss it when I see great pages like this one. When I do scrapbook, I'm quite minimal in my embellishments, so I'm never tempted to put flowers and bling on my pages :) Yours looks great, and I'm sure the boys will treasure it for years.
Sarah this beautiful!! I think you really did a great job adding all the extra touches!
thats a fabulous layout sarah,oh and best you pop into my blog, there is a little something waiting for you!
